Keyhole Covers & Escutcheons

If you currently lock any of your internal or external doors with a key then you will require an escutcheon to cover up the hole, keeping it neat and tidy. The job of the escutcheon is to sit on top of the hole, thus hiding tatty edges whilst still allowing the lock to be operated through the hole in the centre.

Standard, Euro or Oval Profile Escutcheons

Escutcheons are available in standard, euro or oval profiles. These variations match up with particular internal mechanisms.

Standard – this is to be used with a 3 lever or 5 lever mortice deadlock or sashlock
Euro – this is to be used with a euro profile deadlock and cylinder
Oval – this is to be used with an oval profile lock (not so commonly used)

Different Styles & Finishes

An escutcheon will generally be positioned underneath a door handle or knob on rose and so we offer finishes and styles to match all of our handles and knobs.
