The keyhole is located next to the knob instead of underneath it, as seen on most modern locks. They are very secure, however to attain the appropriate Insurance Rated British Standard, it is recommended they be fitted with a British Standard Dead Lock (See linked items below). These locks are 5 Lever. Keyed Alike and Master Key Systems are available - Please call for details. These 5 lever horizontal mortice locks are extremely similar in shape and size to a rim lock, they were first used in the Georgian and Victorian times, usually in grand homes, where a traditional rim lock was viewed as too 'rustic. Rebate kits are for double doors which have been cut, or 'rebated' into one another. Supplied in SINGLES complete with fixings and 2 keys.
