Description

Supplied in SINGLES with hinge pin and latch plate. Manufactured here in durable Black Japan, the steel bar comes with a choice of either Brass or Chrome trim; hinge pin and latch. This shutter bar is based on original Victorian designs. This long window shutter bar is designed to fit across the join where the two shutters meet in the middle of the window. The hinge pin can be removed to allow the bar to be shortened if desired. The shutter bar locks the shutters together to hold them in place, and works on both two-part or concertina shutters. Screws are not supplied.

How does the catch actually work? I can see the round pin but what happens with the catch bit, it looks like a lever?

In the photos you see the hole on the end of the bar, this clicks into the catch mechanism, which is then released by pressing the button on the mechanism.
