Due to the process used to age the metal, this finish is very dark and has a rich, matt appearance. All our Beeswax ironmongery offers a subtle matt richness and is a more natural, and far softer, alternative to a black powder-coated finish. If left untouched, this finish will oxidise over time and naturally age to create a historically beautiful look. Polished Bronze - Manufactured from mild steel with a zinc electroplated finish to perfectly complement our Polished Bronze range of ironmongery. Polished Nickel - Manufactured from a solid brass base with high-quality plating. To restore these products to their former glory, simply polish them using a dry cloth and some Brasso. This secure stop makes it ideal for adding extra security to upper floors, particularly for homes with children, these lockable stops are insurance compliant. Antique Pewter - Offers the same protection as Pewter Patina but has a solid Brass base rather than steel. Its subtle sheen offers a bold contrast on stained and painted timber alike. The From The Anvil Secure Stop has been designed to fit the frame/box and restrict movement of the sash window. During the final stages of manufacturing, we apply a durable, matt lacquer to this finish which helps preserve its distinctive tones. Available in - Aged Brass - Intentionally tarnished using an accelerated ageing process that causes a dark patina to gather around the edges and recesses of the design. This finish undergoes a complex manufacturing process which creates fewer textural marks to give a smoother overall appearance. During the manufacturing process, our Black products are baked in a high-temperature oven, giving them durable, corrosion-resistant qualities. Beeswax - After forging, these products are dipped into hot beeswax which allows them to retain their original colours ranging from blue to deep ochre. Polished Chrome - Made from a base of solid brass coated with durable chrome plating to give an exceedingly high-sheen finish. When polished, it offers an impressive depth of reflection and has an appropriate place in modern properties, but its warm tones also make it suitable for traditional settings. Black - A popular choice in traditional settings. It offers an understated alternative to Chrome and is loved for its less reflective appearance and distinctive blue traces. This rich colour offers a beautiful contrast against the repolished surface areas, offering an abundance of charm and character perfect for any period dwelling. Favoured for its bright, bold appearance, Polished Chrome is well suited to contemporary designs and offers a smooth, mirror finish when polished. Unlacquered Brass - They are made from solid, unlacquered brass and have soft, golden hues that offer a depth of reflection. Satin Chrome - A base of solid brass, with high-quality chrome plating applied to its surface. The products are beautifully suited to listed, cottage and period properties because of their timeless appearance. The secure stop is non-load bearing and therefore is not subject to the requirements of BS EN 14351-1. Supplied in packs of FOUR complete with fixings.
