During the final stages of manufacturing, we apply a durable, matt lacquer to this finish which helps preserve its distinctive tones. Unlacquered Brass - They are made from solid, unlacquered brass and have soft, golden hues that offer a depth of reflection. This finish is aged and then subsequently re-polished to highlight the lighter surface areas against the darker, detailed parts. Due to the process used to age the metal, this finish is very dark and has a rich, matt appearance. Polished Nickel - These products are manufactured from a solid brass base with high-quality plating. This rich colour offers a beautiful contrast against the repolished surface areas. Featuring a classic regency design with a stylish reeded end, this product is suited to traditional and contemporary settings alike. Supplied in SINGLES complete with fixings. Aged Bronze - These products are manufactured from solid bronze containing a minimum of 85% copper. If left untouched, this finish will oxidise over time and naturally age to create a historically beautiful look. From The Anvil designs are drawn and hand forged in the traditional fashion of English blacksmithing. During the final stages of manufacturing, From The Anvil apply a robust lacquer which helps preserve this bright contrast. Available in - Aged Brass - This finish is intentionally tarnished using an accelerated ageing process that causes a dark patina to gather around the edges and recesses of the design. Polished Bronze - These products are made from solid bronze containing a minimum of 85% copper. To restore these products to their former glory, simply polish them using a dry cloth and some Brasso. When polished, it offers an impressive depth of reflection.
