During the manufacturing process, From The Anvil’s Black products are baked in a high-temperature oven, giving them durable, corrosion-resistant qualities. This rich colour offers a beautiful contrast against the repolished surface areas. When polished, it offers an impressive depth of reflection. After forging, these products are dipped into hot beeswax which allows them to retain their original colours ranging from blue to deep ochre. Beeswax (internal use only) - This is From the Anvil’s most authentic finish for steel. Aged Bronze - These products are manufactured from solid bronze containing a minimum of 85% copper. Favoured for its bright, bold appearance, Polished Chrome is well suited to contemporary designs and offers a smooth, mirror finish when polished. Polished Nickel - These products are manufactured from a solid brass base with high-quality plating. During the final stages of manufacturing, we apply a durable, matt lacquer to this finish which helps preserve its distinctive tones. This hand-forged product features countersunk fixings for simple and traditional face-fixing. This finish is aged and then subsequently re-polished to highlight the lighter surface areas against the darker, detailed parts.
