Supplied in SINGLES complete with fixings. From The Anvil designs are drawn and hand forged in the traditional fashion of English blacksmithing. The Welsh-based brand From the Anvil, design and manufacture high-quality, hand-made and functional ironmongery that enhances and revives traditional buildings and brings an authentic and rustic charm to newer builds. During the manufacturing process, our Black products are baked in a high-temperature oven, giving them durable, corrosion-resistant qualities. This door chain is particularly strong as it is hand-forged individually from steel on an anvil, rather than cast, as is the case with most of its fellow door chains. Beeswax - After forging, these products are dipped into hot beeswax which allows them to retain their original colours ranging from blue to deep ochre. All our Beeswax ironmongery offers a subtle matt richness and is a more natural, and far softer, alternative to a black powder coated finish. The From The Anvil Door Chain may be used as a great additional security feature for use on entrance doors; this door chain can be 'latched' to provide the opportunity to open the door just slightly before anyone can enter directly. The products are beautifully suited to listed, cottage and period properties because of their timeless appearance. Its subtle sheen offers a bold contrast on stained and painted timber alike.
