A traditionally designed antique iron T hinge that is created using original designs to create authentic hardware and household goods that sets this range of ironmongery apart from other brands. Ordinarily when regularly used, this product develops it's own patina, but should you wish to afford additional protection, we recommend Maintenance Wax be applied, which will give the iron a protective seal against any moisture. This Fleur de Lys hinge has been hand-finished and made using traditional methods, the finish supplied is a brushed steel colour initially but will achieve a natural authentic darker finish that will naturally age over time. If desired, this can be easily removed by using light oil (such as WD 40) and a fine grade wire wool. Light surface rust may be present or develop when used in damp environments. PLEASE NOTE: This product is of a rustic nature and is designed to both look and feel as if it has been in use for many years. Order 2 to receive a pair. Available in two sizes; 135mm or 250mm to suit different sized doors. The finish is left unlacquered for authenticity.
