Cardea Standard Profile Oval Escutcheon

We do not recommend the use of liquid polishes which will leave residue. The application of a light wax after cleaning can be beneficial but is not essential. It is available in unlacquered brass and polished nickel finishes. Cardea Polished Nickel is a plating solid brass and will generally require little maintenance as nickel is a relatively slow ageing metal. The unlacquered brass finish is a copper/zinc mix that ensures quality. If the product is used outside it will oxidize and tarnish well. The Cardea Ironmongery oval escutcheon is a long slim oval-shaped escutcheon in standard profile for use with standard UK locks and has a visible screw-fixing at each end of the escutcheon. The copper/zinc mix will pass for "old-time brass" reflecting the colours all around on its glorious golden surface. Sold as SINGLES with fixings. To maintain the Cardea finishes we recommend wiping the item with a micro-fibre cloth to remove dirt deposits and polishing with a good quality metal polish. The polished nickel finish has a very durable, smooth, shiny finish that can appear to change in colour with different lighting. The escutcheon comes with fixings and screws.
