This black iron automatic door catch has a luxurious black finish, black iron products are not made like this any more! All black iron products from Cardea are rust proofed, primed and then painted with a flat black paint to guarantee many years of maintenance free use, indoors or out. The hook plate is mounted to the wall and the catch plate is mounted to the inside of the door. This classic automatic black iron door catch has a coupled length of 80mm. As the door opens the hook is pushed up and then latches itself back down and into place.

Product feels and looks as advertised: and even the supplied screws had black paint applied. Unfortunately screwing it in meant that some of that paint flaked off. Product was easy to install, and so far seems to be doing the job well.
