The Cardea Cavendish Reeded Polished Nickel Sash Fastener has two plates that are used in the centre of two sashes, to latch the window closed, securing your sash window. Supplied in SINGLES with screw fixings. Their Polished Nickel Collection includes cupboard knobs and handles, window fittings and other door ironmongery for a fully incorporated look around the home. We do NOT recommend the use of liquid polishes that will leave a residue. The application of a light wax after cleaning can be beneficial but is not essential. This particular fastener has a large arm, ideal for larger sash windows. To maintain the finish we recommend wiping the item with a micro-fibre cloth to remove dirt deposits and polishing with a good quality metal polish. The Cardea Polished Nickel finish is a solid brass plating and will generally require little maintenance as nickel is a relatively slow ageing metal. When the quadrant stays are fitted it will ensure that the window shall only open to a fixed distance. They are generally used to restrict the opening of bottom hung fan light windows. The round knob on the handle offers easy and comfortable grip while opening and closing windows.
