The Ludlow Foundries Fleur de Lys Cylinder Pull Black Antique is very practical and fits around a Yale type cylinder used on a nightlatch, typically on a front door. It is used to pull the door closed from the outside. A cylinder pull is particularly useful if there is no door handle or centre door knob on the external door which would be used to pull it closed.Â
The pull is made from malleable wrought iron and has a black antique finish. Malleable wrought iron is by its very nature susceptible to rusting and should be cared for accordingly, it will require a regular maintenance routine which should include a light application of oil and an occasional application of clear wax. For these vary reasons, black antique door furniture is not recommended for coastal areas, although it is often used on coastal properties.
