The Kirkpatrick 814 304mm (12″) Tee Hinge Black Antique are traditionally used on ledged and braced doors with either a thumb latch or rim lock. Typically the hinges will be fitted to the braces; however they can also be fitted to the ledged side of the door. We would recommend that the hinge length used is about 50 to 60% of the door width. This gives a pleasing aesthetic appearance and allows the hinge to fully support the door.
