The From the Anvil Slim Thumblatch Beeswax has a slim profile handle and a much chunkier look and feel to it – it is for use on doors with a maximum thickness of 45mm. The thumb piece passes through the door and raises the latch bar off the keep. To restrict the latch bar movement a screw-on staple pin in provided. The handle is 222mm long, the thumb bar is 127mm long and the latch is 184mm long. Sold as a set, the thumblatch comes complete with pin and fixings.
Beeswax Thumblatch
The thumblatch has a beeswax finish – this is the most authentic finish for steel! Once forged, the colours are preserved with pure besswax giving a matt richness and offering protection when fitted internally and properly maintained. This is for internal use only. To restore and give protection to the finish it would be beneficial to use maintenance wax. Buffing with a cotton cloth will remove the white bloom.
