The From the Anvil Shutter Hinge Beeswax is a french shutter hinge and designed with an angled offset on which the shutter is mounted so that when the shutter is opened it is thrown clear of the window. The overall height is 102mm, the hinge leaf size is 38mm x 41mm and the tail size is 44mm x 51mm. Sold in pairs, the hinges come complete with fixings.
Beeswax Hinges
The hinges have a beeswax finish – this is the most authentic finish for steel! Once forged, the colours are preserved with pure besswax giving a matt richness and offering protection when fitted internally and properly maintained. This is for internal use only. To restore and give protection to the finish it would be beneficial to use maintenance wax. Buffing with a cotton cloth will remove the white bloom.
