The From the Anvil Rim Lock & Cast Iron Cover Beeswax consists of a two lever rim lock with a cast iron cover over the top. The lock mechanism is not insurance rated. This set is reversible and comes without knobs. It measures at 158mm x 103mm overall, the keep size is 103mm x 21mm, the fixing centres are 133mm, the spindle cantre is 115mm and the lock centre is 53mm. Sold as a set, the lock comes complete with a cover and fixings.
Beeswax Rim Lock
The rim lock has a beeswax finish – this is the most authentic finish for steel! Once forged, the colours are preserved with pure besswax giving a matt richness and offering protection when fitted internally and properly maintained. This is for internal use only. To restore and give protection to the finish it would be beneficial to use maintenance wax. Buffing with a cotton cloth will remove the white bloom.
