The From the Anvil Locking Staple Pin Beeswax is to be used in conjunction with a thumblatch, generally on bathroom or toilet doors. The overall size is 54mm x 63mm and it is sold individually, complete with a leather thong and pin to stop the movement of the latch bar.
Beeswax Stay Pin
The pin has a beeswax finish – this is the most authentic finish for steel! Once forged, the colours are preserved with pure besswax giving a matt richness and offering protection when fitted internally and properly maintained. This is for internal use only. To restore and give protection to the finish it would be beneficial to use maintenance wax. Buffing with a cotton cloth will remove the white bloom.
