Threaded Spindle Installation
To ensure a positive location on the rim lock the spindle is pinned onto the rim side knob and threaded. This allows the knob to be positively fitted to the rim lock through the door, eliminating the usual looseness of rim lock knobs. Once the rim side knob is firmly attached the non-rim side knob is attached to the door, over the exposed spindle.
