The Ludlow Foundries traditional casement stay has a matching casement fastener and is a classic black antique design.  Black stays and fasteners can be seen in many country homes and cottages and are ever popular in traditional interiors.

Three Standard Lengths

The Ludlow traditional stay is available in the usual 3 lengths; 8" (203mm), 10" (254mm) and 12" (305mm).  Generally, the choice of length to fit is a subjective decision, as far as which length looks best on the window. However, as a rule of thumb; the stay should be about 50% to 60% of the window width.

Ludlow Black Antique Finish

Malleable wrought iron is by its very nature susceptible to rusting and should be cared for accordingly, it will require a regular maintenance routine which should include a light application of oil and an occasional application of clear wax.  Used internally in a modern centrally heated property, there should be not problem whatsoever.

Locking Casement Pin Option

For added security a locking casement pin is available to replace one of the stay pins.  Key operated it will satisfy your insurance companies requirement for a window lock, as unfortunately the Ludlow range of window fittings are not lockable.  Please see related products.
