The Asec sash stops are designed to be installed in the outer frames of the upper sash window. Supplied as a set ( 2 stops & 4 threaded inserts), the stops can be located in either a closed position, venting position or both by using all 4 threaded inserts.

Brass & Chrome Plated

To co-ordinate with other items on the window the Asec sash stops are available in milled brass finish, a chrome plated finish or a satin chrome plated finish. Sold in pairs as a one window set each set comprises 4 threaded inserts for timber and 2 sash stops, which can be placed in the locked position or a vented position.  Please be aware that these sash stops are milled brass and the finish will contain some impurities.  These products are not finished to a smooth, quality shine-they are an economy sash stop and are priced accordingly.  If you are looking for high quality sash stops, manufactured and finished to a high standard, see our Frank Allart 0203 Retractable Sash Window Stops in the related items below.

Simple to Install Window Stop

The threaded inserts are simple to install, simply drill a 7.5-8mm diameter hole x 15mm deep and wind in the inserts using a 6mm hexagonal allen key.  Then simply wind the stop into the threaded insert using the window key, which can be purchased as a separate item.  Always remember to remove the window key when not in use and store it in a secure place.

Please order keys separately, usually 1 key per room is sufficient.  The keys are only available in the bright nickel finish.  See related products.  Please note the window locking key should not be used to wind in the threaded inserts!
