Locking & Non-Locking, Brass or Chrome
The Victorian casement fastener is the most traditional and commonly used fasteners for timber windows. It is available in the traditional mortice or hook plate design or as here as a wedge plate design which is either locking or non-locking. Generally this fastener is not suitable for modern weather sealed windows, which have a 3 to 4mm gap when closed.
Made from solid brass the Carlisle Brass Victorian window fastener is available in 3 finishes, polished and lacquered brass, for the traditional interior and polished or satin chrome, for the more contemporary interior. Each fastener comes complete with matching finish fixing screws.
The wedge plate Victorian fastener can be used with a number of different window stay designs, however, usually it will be used with the plain Victorian stay, which is available in 3 lengths; 202mm, 254mm and 305mm.
