Frelan Hardware 180mm Foot Operated Door Holder

Our 180mm foot operated door holder is a convenient way to hold open any door up to about 40kg’s in weight. It is simple to use and once pushed down the rubber tipped plunger will prevent the door from closing. When the door needs to be closed the holder can be retracted by a simple tap with your foot. The plunger is released and the spring action returns the holder to the un-held position.

Simple to Install

Simply install the door holder near the edge of the door opposite the hinges, having previously tested the travel of the plunger. It couldn’t be easier, just 3 screws and it’s fitted and ready for use. The 180 mm door holder is intended for doors up to about 40kg.

Polished Brass, Chrome or Satin Chrome

The holder is plated in one of three finishes, to co-ordinate with other items fitted to the door. It is available in polished brass plate, polished chrome plate or satin chrome plate.

Safe Use with Fire Doors

Strictly, this type of door holder should not be used on fire doors, especially commercial fire doors. However with the recent change in regulations we believe it is acceptable to use them on domestic fire doors, so long as they are disengaged at night and the doors closed to maintain a minimum level of fire integrity.  Under the new regulations, it is the occupants’ responsibility to ensure fire doors are kept closed overnight and when a property is empty.
