Budget aluminium bolts
Flush bolts are generally used in pairs of doors to secure the slave leaf. In most cases the flush bolt will be positioned in the rebate so the door is secure when locked, i.e. the bolts can’t be operated when the main door is closed.
Satin anodised aluminium is a common finish for contract ironmongery products and protects the raw aluminium from corrosion. The colour of the finish can vary quite considerably, but is always based on the raw aluminium colour.
The contract aluminium flush bolt is 19mm wide and either 152mm long or 203mm long, both sizes are commonly used and often a door will have a 62 (152mm) bolt at the bottom and an 8” (203mm) bolt at the top.
