The Carlisle Brass AA33 oval thumbturn with a splined spindle is used to operate our budget mortice security bolt or any of the branded mortice bolts, such as Chubb or ERA.

Splined Spindle Turn

The oval turn is designed to be permanently attached to the door and avoid the need to find a star key to operate the mortice bolt.  Examples would be on stable doors to connect the upper and lower leaves and internal pairs of doors, where one door needs to be secured closed to accept the other door.

Four Finish Options

The AA33 thumbturn is made from either solid brass and finished in polished brass, polished chrome or satin chrome or wrought iron and finished in Ludlow black antique, to co-ordinate with other furniture on the door, including the mortice bolt.
