Sturdy looking letter plate for period homes and listed buildings
ONLY 2 x BEESWAX TO CLEAR!
The Letter Plate is part of From the Anvil’s hand forged traditional ironmongery collection. It is slightly bigger than traditional letter plates so would perhaps be suited to doors on grander properties such as manor houses and large listed buildings. It can also be used in new building projects if the aim is to re-create a classic, Old English look.
The letter plate has been hand-forged by the highly skilled craftsmen at From the Anvil. The techniques used are very traditional and have barely changed over centuries. This adds a lovely look of authenticity to each plate and because each one has been individually made, they all have a special character of their own.
The letter plate is available in blackened beeswax, traditional black or pewter patina. It measures 12 ¾” x 4 ¼” and the aperture measures 10” x 2”. It is best combined with the letter plate cover (see related products below) in order prevent drafts and tidy up the appearance from the inside.
