From the Anvil’s Rim Lock is a traditional locking mechanism that is perfectly suited to period homes and listed properties. It has been hand-forged by expert craftsmen using old English blacksmithing techniques. It has a sturdy, prominent look that would look great on panel doors.
Cast Iron Cover
The Rim Lock has a cast iron cover and measures 7.25” x 5.5”. The 2 lever lock has been designed for internal use only. The lock can be reversed but knobs have to be purchased separately (please see related products below).
Beeswax Finish
The rim lock is available in blackened beeswax. It has been finished with a special wax that imparts a subtle matt richness to the metal. Temperature changes can cause a slight white bloom on the lock. If you clean the lock with a soft polish, the original look will restored instantly.
