The Yale 85/89 Nightlatch is one of the most widely-used front door latches available. It is available in two sizes; standard which has a body width of 92mm and narrow which has a body width of 62mm.

Brasslux Finish Latch

The Yale85/89 is available in dark metallic grey, the standard finish and in Brasslux a plated brass finish. The grey finish is available with a satin chrome door cylinder, a polished chrome cylinder or a brass cylinder. In brasslux finish the operating lever and the hold back slide button are brown, and the cylinder is brass.

Slide Button Deadlock

The latchbolt is operated by either the handle from inside or the key from outside. Both the bolt and handle can be deadlocked by a turn of the key from outside or by the slide button from inside. The slide button also operates the latch holdback facility.

Cylinder Pulls

It is common to fit a cylinder pull to a nighlatch to assist with closing the door, these are available in matching finishes, and can be ordered separately, please refer to related products.
