The Union 1026 standard security rim lock operates as a traditional nightlatch; the latchbolt is operated by a key from the outside and a handle on the inside.  The bolt may be held open or locked in the closed position by operating the thumb slide button.

Case & Cylinder Combinations

The case is available in White Enamel (WE), Champagne Gold(CG) or Electro Brass (EB).  The brass 5 pin cylinder is available in Polished Brass (PB) or Satin Chrome (SC).  For obvious reasons the electro brass case is only available with a polished brass cylinder.  The union 1026 is one of the few nightlatches available with a 50mm backset, most are either 40mm or 60mm.

Non-Handed Design

The 1026 will fit doors between 35mm to 60mm thick hinged on the left or the right, opening inward.  Traditionally, a nightlatch will be used with a cylinder pull or cover to aid closing the door.
