The TC550, Tudor Collection oval knob is a classic design, seen in many period properties.  Oval knobs are easier to grip and operate and are in general preferred to full ball knobs.  The Heritage TC550 is attached to a rectangular backplate, to give that authentic blacksmith look.  The set is half sprung, which means one of the pair is sprung, to assist in the return of the mortice latch.

Tudor Black Antique Finish

The black antique finish of the Oval wrought iron door knob requires little maintenance and is best kept clean using warm soapy water on a soft damp cloth. In the event of chipping occurring the affected area can be cleaned, wiped dry and spotted with black enamel paint. When used on external doors a more rigorous care routine will be required and a light coating of wax should be applied occasionally.
