From the Anvil's Oval Knob is a no nonsense door knob perfectly suited to period homes and listed properties. Its authentic look has been developed by master craftsmen using the oldest, most traditional blacksmithing methods in England. Each Oval Knob has been hand-forged by a highly experienced blacksmith, giving a totally unique look and feel.

Removable Rose

The Oval Knob is a thick, sturdy piece of door furniture that would look stunning on big wooden doors. It features a loose rose that can be easily removed to add a rim or mortice lock. The knob also features an adjustable threaded spindle, which means it can be used on doors of all sizes, including heavy internal doors.

Two Superb Finishes

The Oval Knob is available in two finishes, beeswax or traditional black. The beeswax knob is finished with a special wax that imparts a subtle matt richness to the metal. It is best fitted internally but can be used externally with careful maintenance. The traditional black finish is similar in appearance to beeswax but is more resistant to corrosion, making it ideal for external use.

Supplied with Escutcheons

Each set comes complete with fixing screws and two escutcheons. For best results the centre of the knob should be a minimum of 3” from the edge of the door. Heavy-duty latches or locks are recommended for maximum efficiency.
