The solid drawn brass stormproof hinge is used to hang timber casement windows which incorporate a standard no-gap stormproof rebate.

Solid Drawn Brass

The standard brass stormproof hinge is produced from solid extruded brass sections left in mill finish.  Typically these hinges will be painted over, in the case of painted windows, but equally, they can be left un-painted on hardwood stained windows.  The solid drawn brass hinge is often preferred to the standard steel hinge in coastal areas.

One Standard Size Hinge   

Traditionally, stormproof window hinges are made in one size, 63mm high.  For heavier windows and french casements a 100mm steel hinge is available.
