The 1838 light pattern steel fixed pin butt hinge is a light pattern domestic hinge, suitable for doors up to about 10 - 15 Kg in weight.  It has for years been one of the most commonly used hinges on the market, however, in recent year’s brass washered and roller bearing hinges have begun to be used more widely.

Plated and Painted Finishes

The 75mm 1838 pattern hinge is available in electro brass or bright zinc plated finish, to suit the door furniture chosen.  Painted  hinges are available to order and generally take 2 to 3 weeks, please contact customer services on 01252 786510 to discuss any special finish requirements.

Screws with Single Pairs Only

We supply screws with hinges that are ordered as individual pairs, however we do not supply screws with the boxed hinges, these should be ordered separately, please see related products. The best size to use is either No7 x 1” or No 7 x 1.25”, both are available in boxes of 200 or quantities of 1000.
