The Colonial lever handle is a popular design in black antique and with the arched lever is found in many country properties.  Plain and basic lines blend into the natural surroundings and the lever becomes just a practical means of opening the door.

Various Backplates Available

To complete the full range of residential doors the Colonial lever handle is available in three alternatives which are latch, lock and bathroom. As required by current Building Regulations the bathroom handle set comes complete with the facility to release the door from the outside in an emergency.  As well as the standard full height backplate, the latch version is also available on a short plate.

Tudor Black Antique Finish

The black antique finish of the Colonial wrought iron door handle requires little maintenance and is best kept clean using warm soapy water on a soft damp cloth. In the event of chipping occurring the affected area can be cleaned, wiped dry and spotted with black enamel paint. When used on external doors a more rigorous care routine may be required and a light coating of wax should be applied occasionally.
