The Wellington lever handle is an attractive and popular design in black antique and its narrow (38mm) backplate makes it the ideal lever for sets of glazed French doors.  Often glazed doors have a thinner stile and the wider backplates are not suitable, particularly if a 64mm lock and rebate are fitted.  The V form of the handle is easy to grip and comfortable to use.

To complete the full range of residential doors the Wellington lever handle is available in three alternatives which are latch plate, lock plate and bathroom plate. As required by current Building Regulations the bathroom plate comes complete with the facility to release the door from the outside in an emergency and needs to be fitted to a full height bathroom lock.

Tudor Black Antique Finish

The black antique finish of the Wellington wrought iron door handle requires little maintenance and is best kept clean using warm soapy water on a soft damp cloth. In the event of chipping occurring the affected area can be cleaned, wiped dry and spotted with black enamel paint. When used on external doors a more rigorous care routine will be required and a light coating of wax or oil should be applied occasionally to maintain the antique finish.
