Description
The Ludlow Foundries bulb end casement stay has a matching casement fastener and is a classic black antique design. Black stays and fasteners can be seen in many country homes and cottages and are ever popular in traditional interiors.
3 Stay Lengths Available
The Ludlow bulb end stay is available in the usual 3 lengths; 8" (203mm), 10" (254mm) and 12" (305mm). Generally, the choice of stay is a subjective decision, as far as which length looks best on the window. However, as a rule of thumb; the stay should be about 50% to 60% of the window width.
Ludlow Black Antique Finish
Malleable wrought iron is by its very nature susceptible to rusting and should be cared for accordingly, it will require a regular maintenance routine which should include a light application of oil and an occasional application of clear wax. Used internally the finish is guaranteed for 10 years.
Locking Casement Pins Available
Locking casement pins are avilable and will normally replace the stay pin closest to the bulb end of the stay. Key operated they will satisfy your insurance companies requirement for a window lock, as unfortunately the Ludlow range of window fittings are not lockable. Please see related products.
