Description
Finger plates are available in many materials, the most common of which has until recently been satin anodized aluminium, since stainless steel has gained hugely in popularity over the last ten years. The two most common sizes are 305mm x 75mm and 350mm x 75mm. These finger plates are made from 18 gauge (1.5mm thick) aluminium sheet.
Engraved or printed 'PUSH'
For commercial situations the finger plate is often printed or engraved with the word ‘PUSH’ although the absence of a pull handle does tend to suggest that the door should be pushed. These particular finger plates are high quality silk screen printed.

Fixing to the Door
Most finger plates are drilled and countersunk and attached to the door with fixing screws, as per these ones. However, self adhesive plates are available by request.
