Finger Plates & Kick Plates
Finger plates are often seen on swing doors, where the door is opened by being pushed. They are very common in public buildings, offices, schools and hospitals, as well as some residential situations. Hardwearing stainless steel, aluminium or nylon push plates are perfect partners to heavy use doors in public areas.
Kick Plates
Kick plates are added to commercial doors to cope with the barrage of potential scuff marks on the lower part of the door. Usually fitted to the push side, but somtimes both sides of the door, kick plates are commonly 150mm or 200mm high.
Period & Designer Plates
Shaped finger plates and period styles such as Queen Anne and Art Deco add a beautiful decorative touch to a door with, perhaps, a matching door handle or mortice knob.
Designer push plates are even made in leather in all sorts of wonderful colours such as chestnut, chocolate and black.
