Description
The flat bookcase stud (7471) is designed for use with the Cooke Brothers flat bookcase strip. The single slot fixing flat stud is used in the majority of cases, however a stronger double slot fixing stud is available for those occasions when a heavier load is anticipated. See related products.
Load Capacity
Due to the variations in the shelving and cabinet materials used, it is recommended that a shelf on the base of any cabinet designed and made using Cooke Brothers' bookcase strip, be test loaded to the maximum anticipated loading, before putting loads on the higher shelves. Individual wooden shelves can be secured in place from the underside using additional fastenings fitted through the 4mm diameter hole in the stud.
Plated Finishes on Steel
The Cooke Brothers flat bookcase stud is available in 2 base materials; steel or brass and then plated or painted to produce the finish required. Brass studs are self colour.
