Description
The Byron SX-54 wire free door chime kit with converter and brass bell push is an attractive wall mounted chime which is operated by a brass bell push with a wire free converter. The chime can be positioned up to approximately 100 metres away from the converter.
Make any Bell Push Wire Free
The SX-54 kit, as per any of the Byron wire free bell kits with converters, can be used to convert any wired bell push to wire free. Simply replace the brass bell push supplied with your own existing or new wired bell push, since it is the converter which sends the signal to the wall mounted unit.
Channel Selection
The unit has 64 different operating codes to avoid interference from similar units operating near by. The chime unit require 3 x 1.5v R14 size batteries (not included) and the converter requires 1 x 12volt A23 battery which is included. Each kit comes complete with all necessary fixings and full fitting instructions for easy installation.
Add Additional Chimes or Bell Pushes
Additional chime units can be installed with the original kit to add coverage all around the home. 2 kits can be used together to give front and back door coverage (both set on the same frequency, either bell push will operate both chimes) or one or more additional chime units such as the SX-11 can be added. It is even possible to add an extra bell push and converter to the standard kit, making 2 bell pushes operate 1 chime.
