Description
The Byron TX-1 wire free door chime kit with a flashing light, comes as two units, the push button unit (transmitter) and the door chime unit (receiver). No wiring between these units is necessary and they are completely self-contained. To operate, the push button is pressed which sends a wireless signal to the chime unit.
Chiming Doorbell
The chime unit is an attractive, discreetly-sized unit which is freestanding and has four LED lights which flash when the bell push is operated. This is a really good way of alerting someone who is hard of hearing and the unit can be placed in their eye-line for practicality. The low battery indicator is a great way to tell you to change the batteries and gives you the time to do so, so you won’t miss any important callers. There is a high/low volume switch which can be set to your own preferred level and a transmission light to indicate that the chime is working. The chime unit requires 2 x 1.5V type LR14 or ‘C’ model batteries (not included). The bell push comes complete with batteries which have a life of approximately one year.
50 Metre Operating Range
The operating range of this door chime kit is 50m clear distance in an open area. Metal and UPVC doors and door frames may reduce the operating range a little and the range will reduce if transmitting through a number of walls or ceilings. However, there are many places the chime unit could be positioned in your home or small business for maximum convenience.
