Security Accessories
Additional items which can be fitted to doors for security include door viewers, which are often fitted to solid doors where there is no other means of identifying who is at the door.
Hinge bolts (hidden permanent bolts) are fitted to the hinge side of the door, between the door and frame. They act to retain the door in the frame, should the external knuckle of the hinge be tampered with. For example, if the pivot pin or the pins in an externally exposed hinge are removed then the door can, without hinge bolts, be taken out of its frame.
Protecting Locks
There are several products available to protect locks and can be fitted both internally and externally to main entrances. They typically take the form of plates or bars which cover the vulnerable parts of any lock.
The fitting of high quality insurance rated locks along with hinge bolts on outward opening doors will be sufficient in 99% of cases. However, if your have any particular requirements for additional entry control, be it mechanical keypad, electrical keypad, proximity card, swipe card or even finger print controlled devices, please contact our experienced customer services team for further advice and a possible quotation.
