Description
From the Anvil’s Octagonal Knob is a beautifully balanced door knob for period homes and listed properties. A strong look, coupled with a fresh feel means that it sits comfortably in the hand. Its authentic look has been developed by master craftsmen using the oldest, most traditional blacksmithing methods in England.
Removable Rose
The Octagonal Knob is solid cast and has a loose rose that can be easily removed if you want to use the knob with a rim or mortice lock. The versatility of the knob is also evident with the threaded spindle, which can be adjusted to suit doors of various thicknesses and then be firmly secured with a grub screw.
Hand-forged Metal
From the Anvil have seated themselves at the forefront of hand crafted metal design after ten years in the industry. Great care and detail is taken with each product. Each Octagonal Knob has been hand-forged by a highly experienced blacksmith, which means that every knob has a slightly different look and character.
Supplied with Escutcheons
Each set comes complete with fixing screws, which are concealed for improved appearance, and two escutcheons. For best results the centre of the knob should be a minimum of 3” from the edge of the door. Heavy-duty latches or locks are recommended for maximum efficiency.
