Description
Flush bolts are traditionally used to secure the fixed leaf of a pair of doors and the bolt can be mounted in the rebate or on the surface of the door. For security it is always preferable to place them in the rebate.
Two Sizes Available
The Kirkpatrick 1158 flush bolt is 25mm wide and available in 2 lengths; a 152mm bolt or a 203mm bolt. Both sizes come complete with a flat rectangular strike plate and necessary fixing screws. This flush bolt is available in the traditional black antique finish or Kirkpatrick's new striking pewter finish. Please note that pewter finishes can take between 2-4 weeks to deliver as the products are plated to special order. Any pewter plated products are non-returnable.
Black Antique or Pewter Finish
The 1158 wrought iron flush bolt requires little to no maintenance and can best be kept clean using warm soapy water and a soft cloth. In the event of chipping occurring the affected area can be cleaned, wiped dry and filled in with black enamel paint. On external doors more care needs to be taken to maintain the bolt, a light coating of wax or wiping with an oiled cloth regularly will protect the finish.
