Mr Men and Little Miss
The Mr Men were originally created by Roger Hargreaves in 1971 after he was asked by his son "what does a tickle look like?". Since then, Roger Hargreaves went on to write an entire series of Mr Men books, personifying characteristics such as being mean, tall or clever.
Mr Men and Little Miss Books
The series was originally called the 'Mister' series. The first Mr men animated series was produced in 1974, narrated by Arthur Lowe. In 1981, to complement the Mr Men, the first Little Miss book was published. Among the first were tooks such as Little Miss Bossy and Little Miss Naughty. Later, books included Little Miss Twins, modelled after Roger's twin daughters. Roger Hargreaves died in 1988, having created more than 70 Mr Men and Little Miss characters. His son, Adam, continued drawing and writing Mr Men and Little Miss books. Many Mr Men and Little Miss products have now been created, including our fantastic Mr Men and Little Miss cupboard knobs.
